The Vampire Face Lift ® utilizes PRP injected under the skin. PRP may be used alone in liquid form, activated by medication or warming to form PRF, or in combination with hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. Activating the PRP forms a gel-like substance that works similarly to HA fillers. When used with HA fillers, the process begins with injecting the hyaluronic acid (HA) to sculpt a younger, natural-appearing face. The PRP, full of growth factors and stem cells, is then injected to build upon the HA framework, stimulating collagen production, increasing blood flow, and improving skin texture and tone. Facial volume and skin tone are both improved because the PRP is injected under the skin. When used in combination, the results last much longer than those of HA fillers alone. The Vampire Facelift ® procedure targets areas of volume loss such as the tear troughs, marionette lines, and cheeks. It also reduces dark circles under the eyes.
While results may be seen immediately, PRP works over time. Most patients see results within 3 weeks, which peak around 3 months. The results typically last 12-18 months but may last longer. Certain health or skin conditions may be a contraindication to treatment. Please inform your provider of any ongoing conditions that you may have. Cold sores may require pre-treatment with medication before any procedure. Certain cosmetic and skin treatments should not be performed within two weeks of the procedure. Notify your practitioner of all previous cosmetic treatments received. Avoid sun exposure, self-tanners, or tanning beds for seven days before and after treatment. Prior to treatment, avoid alcohol, retinol medications, and all anti-inflammatory medications or medications that could thin your blood.
